Mastica Goes Pinks!
-
March 13, 2001
The next in the ever growing number of unofficial SXSW shows for Mastica, they go to Pinks, in downtown Austin. Here's the addy and #: 1208 S. Congress (across from the Continental Club) Pinks # 477-2888.
They will play from 5:30-6:30, followed by Byrd, (who runs from 7-8PM). Byrd has the talents of Mark Youngersmith on guitar, (Ex-Billy Idol), then at 8:30, Patricia Vonne comes on stage. She's director Robert Ramirez's sister!
New Dates!
-
March 9, 2001
There's a new gig the same nite as the Ruta Maya show on the 15th, (which is from 3:30-5:30). The new gig is at 11:30 at the Capital Draft House on 6th St, Austin, TX., and will feature the full band, (Branden Harper, Bruce Salmon, Brad Houser, and of course Gumby, Munkey, and Pat.) Although these are the week of SXSW, they are not official SXSW gigs.
In addition to all this, Pat will be playing with Mike Keneally for two shows on the 16th. The Copper Tank show is slated to happen at 8PM, but around 5PM, be on the lookout for this:
"Mike Keneally has been one of the first chosen to play The Guitar Center Texas Shootout at Waterloo Brewing on Friday March 16th produced by Green Brothers Entertainment and Evolution Promotion. The party goes between 2:00PM and 7:00PM. Mike Keneally's tentative time slot is 5:00 pm give or take 15 minutes. There is a preview party/BBQ which is sponsored by Guitar Center, Jagermeister, BMI, SIMS Foundation, Todd McFarlane Toys and other fine companies participating in SXSW."
Wow... sounds like fun! All I have to say is, "Pat, send me the latest Todd McFarlane Toys you get in your schwag bag!" (hehe)
So be sure to show you loving support for this quartet of shows that happen in two days, (with emphasis on the first day of course, hehe). It's gonna rock!
